Our Story

My name is Javis Mugagga Lubwama. I am happily Married now coming to 9yrs to my beautiful wife Gladys. We have 3 Children 1, 4, and 7 yrs. My background is in communications. I also did a one month residential course in Leadership and Evangelism at Haggai Institute - Maui, Hawaii. My Wife is an accountant , Sunday School teacher and a baker.

I come from a family of 35 brothers and sisters from 14 amazing mums. My father was a Gynaecologist, his entire medical career was was in government referral hospitals as a senior surgeon.

He struggled a lot with Alcoholism and the heavy burden just to keep up with what was then an ever expanding family. We lost him when i was 13yrs old. At that moment everything turned around.

Fast forward, growing up my life has been shaped by the quality of friendships that i have been exposed to , i have had the opportunity to connect to very diverse friendships and high quality learning opportunities globally. All that has shaped my life perspective.

For over 10 years i worked for Cornerstone. My first 6yrs i was communications coordinator supporting Cornerstone regional communications needs across all the 3 regional offices. My last position was regional Discipleship coordinator which majorly focussed on Character development, Spiritual Formation and Leadership empowerment across all the regional cornerstone schools.

It was a great time there. I needed it for my personal spiritual and Leadership Formation. In someways i am still involved in the Cornerstone Mission, it is still very important to me.

God is Calling all of us to Partner with Him. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10). Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Currently my wife and i are focusing 100% to grow LayLife, focusing on the 3Es - Evangelism, Education and Entrepreneurship. It's a vision we have had for the over 10yrs sparked off by Richard Kunnert, Fr.David Beauvais and Owen Phelps during their mission Trip to Uganda in 2011. The last couple of years we have been intentionally building it one step at a time. Currently that vision that was sparked off by Fr.Dave and Richard has inspired others people to Join.

The journey of growing and sustaining a DREAM is never easy, but it is the problem solving and overcoming challenges that make it exhilarating and purposeful.

His GRACE is sufficient.
